Cuz I heard Jesus, He drank wine And I bet we’d get along just fine, He could calm a storm and heal the blind, And I bet He’d understand a Heart like Mine

Yesterday sucked.  Defiantly big time SUCKED.  Well technically, last night sucked.  Yesterday wasn't too bad, other than my headache that went on from 7:30am till 9:00pm.  Oh and I got to see *ahem* him...hehehehe acccckkk :)))).  Ok anyway.  Saw him in Handy's when I went to get a pop before we went and got lunch and ol Eddie came strollin in about the time I was paying for my pop.  He was lookin damn good too, I'm not gonna lie.  Lol anyway, played that off cool when mama asked if that was him.  I restrained myself from grinning ear to ear when he pulled out of the parking lot and made his Dodge blow all kinds of black smoke out the stacks.
Then we went and got lunch and picked up my new bed, that I loooovvvve!  Look:

Ain't it awesome?!
Well it was all going fine when I brought it home, I fought my old bed for a hour trying to get it took apart and bout got smashed by the box springs and mattress because I didn't have any help....and yes I was being stubborn and independent and didin't ask for any help.
k anyway I drug my new bed + the rails that go with it, got the frame put together, set the box springs in it...annnnd the stupid bed frame is too wide so the box springs falls through it.  By now I'm on the verge of throwing a ring tail fit because I'm getting mad.  Soo what do I do to fix this problem?  Go get one of the 2x4s that we had used for the pool pad thing, find a hand saw and sawed and sawed and sawed and finally got two slats cut. So after all that, me and mom went and put the slats in the bed and thankfully it worked.  By then i'm ticked off and in tears because...well i don't know.  Everything bad that I could think of was on my mind and the only way that I could think to make me feel better was to bawl my eyes out.  I literally laid down on my bedroom floor and cried for 10 minutes straight. Like big time boo-hoo gasping for air crying.  Then I txted my best friend and sent like 4 texts trying to explain what was wrong.  After talking to her for a bit, I felt better but still I was on the verge of tears all evening. I  finally just went to bed and slept till 10:30 this morning.  Today's been somewhat better, got some good news this morning about my photography(I'll post bout it later!)
So hopefully I won't have the same kinda night tonight that I had last night!

And hopefully this thing with my photography will work out, I'll know in about a hour probably!

Hugs & kisses

Smh.

Ok so I'm sure any of yall who know about horses/rodeo, know that the WRCA(working ranch cowboy association) Rodeo Finals is going on in Amarillo right now.  And no I'm not down there, but I freaking wish I was!  Anyway, I was looking at some pics on the WRCA website and there was a picture of all the cowboys horseback in the arena while they played the National Anthem.  Nearly all of them had their hats off the whole time but a couple didn't.  That just bugs me....seriously boys, take the time out and just pull your hat off and show some respect!  Well I atleast saw one team that took their hats off....and it just so happens that I know one of 'em!  Ol Lee Boy had his hat off and was actin right(oh and FYI, Lee Boy is the same Lee that was working durin the Buffalo Workin)  Haha anyway I just had to rant a little about that.  And you can bet your ass that every time I hear that National Anthem, my hat's off and over my heart :)  Its just the way I was brought up....

My Day in a nutshell.

How was my day?  Oooh it was just GrAnD(I'm being mildly sarcastic here people.)  First off, I slept till 10:00...that was awful nice. lol.  Then I discover that I don't have any toilet paper out in my little house.  I found that out the hard way.  Sorry, TMI probably...
ANYWAY...Then I go eat homemade sausage biscuits(Y.U.M.!).  After stuffing myself, I go back out to my little house to start the hunt for my long estranged iPod that I haven't used since last Feb.  See I got a 32 gb iPod touch for Christmas last year, then I got a iPhone as a early birthday present...so that kinda canceled out the whole point of having a iPod since I had a brand new phone WITH a iPod in it.   So I put my nearly new iPod in a little markup bad and stuck it in my dresser.  Well me being slightly forgetful, I forgot thats where I put it.  Soo after breakfast, I went and tore my room apart looking for it....didn't find it. And the whole time I was looking, Mick was laying outside of my room, "protecting me"...

Then i got called into the house because mama needed help tearing taking apart a old piano that's been on the back porch since God knows when.  It was stuffed down in the end of the back porch, between the wall and the freezer.  Well it was all going along just peachy till we couldn't get the screws that held everything together broke loose because our drill is crappy and the screws had been in there since 1482(give or take a few years probably.)  After 15 minutes of me fighting it, I say "hang on a minute, I'll be right back" and take off across the yard to dad's truck and find the biggest hammer in his tool boxes.
After a couple whacks, the piano DID come apart!  By then I'm getting awful close to throwing a fit because I'm madder than a old wet hen.  Fast forward 30 minutes, the piano is drug out into the carport...in a lot of pieces I might add.   SO that was all happy and the back porch has 10x more room.
A+ on that job.
Now back to my hunt for my iPod.  While I was whoopin, beatin and bangin on the stupid piano, it dawned on me that I had put my iPod in a makeup bad and stuck it in my dresser....so i went out to my room, started digging through all my makeup bags and looky what I found....
Fouuuuunnnnd it!  Now I can pack ALL of my music around with me!!
Then I had to dig a splinter out of the side of my thumb that I got when we drug the piano out.  Mama couldn't get it, dad didn't want to hurt me, and Jennie?  I wouldn't dare trust her with digging a splinter out of my thumb with a needle!  Lol so anyway I finally got it dug out and it hurts like a SOB right now!
And after that, everything was all fine and dandy, the piano was out of the house, I found my iPod....oh and I put more toilet paper out in my room :) bahaha

whatta day!
Stay tuned for a rant post, I found something that annoys me today.

Be back in just a bit, I gotta go find a snack cuz I'm hungry!lol

The Buuffffaaallooooo Workin!

How would you like to run everyone of these huge beasty's through a cattle squeeze chute?  Maybe chase them down the alleys at the buffalo pens in a feedtruck that has no brakes(At. All.)?  Stand on a catwalk beside the tub and push them into the chute with rattle paddles and hot shots?  Yall have no earthly clue what I'm talking about huh?  Alright let me explain....
Every November all 2700(+/- a few) head of buffalo that the TGP runs up here, get gathered into the traps by the buffalo pens. Day after day they get sooked into the traps, each trap being smaller and closer to the pens than the last.  Finally a few(about 45 to 50 I'd say) get pushed into a holding pen by the pens and eventually they're pushed thru a maze of alleys and they end up here:
In the main big alley.  That would be my dear ol dad on the right, latching the gate, while Lee(on the left) helps.  They sort off about 10 or so and run them up the alley closer to  the tub...
Then they get pushed into the tub itself...
That'd be my buddy Lauren up there with a hot shot
Greg( in the white shirt) and Lauren trying to get the buffalo lined out
Then one by one the buffalo are pushed into the chute(thats there by Lauren)....
Kevin, Dad, Greg, Lauren and Goober...I mean Lee.
Annnd then while everybody up at the front chute takes care off the buffalo (i.e gives them shots, checks ear tags ect ect), everybody at the back has important life conversations about hot shots not working:
Dad and Kevin
Lauren and Lee(*cough*who wasn't lookin too bad that day*cough*)
Ahem....ANYWAYS
Lauren being very bored.
Waiting....

Into the chute....

Annnnnd then.....
They end up down here at the big chute, where Perry, Bob, Jack and Danny give them their yearly checkup.

Mr. Jack getting ready to give a buffy a shot
Perry waiting for Bob to come check the ear tag on this buffalo
Danny running the chute
Danny and Bob
And then after everything's done...

....away they go out into the pen and wait to be turned back out!

And 7 days later, they're all turned back out into the big pastures...the calves were branded and ear tagged, old bulls and cows were sorted off and sold and everything was happily ever after, the end!

Whoa whoa whoa wait a minute.  This post AIN'T over with!
Now for more pics!  We had my uncle, his two girls, Jaime(his girlfriend), her two boys, my aunt, Jennie B., mama, and me at the pens.
Jennie, Me, Rylee, Raylin(cousins), Jack, and Jaime holding Jared
He seriously needs to marry her.  Like very soon.  L-O-V-E her alot better than the other one!

Jack, me and Jared looking at the buffalo
Something must've been funny
We spent probably 5 hours at the pens watching the guys work the buffalo, then we came home, jabbered and talked, everybody left, I thanked God in heaven above that I survived the day with all the kids ect ect.

I took 335 pictures that day, I spent the next day editing them and making up a picture slide show dvd for all the guys.  Then finally on the last day of the working, I gathered up all the DVDs  and headed for the shop.  Spent 4 hours over there that night, talkin, laughin, comparing deer pics with Lee(and yes, I've killed bigger bucks than him. HA!).  He was headed for Amarillo the next day for the WRCA Finals, so he got a lot of "Good luck"'s.  What did I tell him?  Nothin, I just banged his copy of the DVD off the table to get his attention so he wouldn't leave without it, his response to that; "Damnit you're gonna scratch it then it won't work!"  What did I do then?  Banged the case off the table more then grinned!  Haha I was nice and told him "good luck tomorrow" after that and Lee Boy hit the road. We stayed at the shop for a little while longer then I came home.
I love nights like those.
I seriously can't wait till I turn 18 so I can go work at the buffalo working :)

So ok I guess this post can be over with now!
Bye!

How long gone are ya gonna be?

Annnnnnd 3 months later, here I am.  Where have I been?  Nowhere.  I just fell off the blogging wagon I guess.  Whats new?  Nothin.  I still look the same:

And no, I haven't cut all my hair off, it was pulled back in a pony tail

Still got all my animals:
Blazer dog

Queen Sadie

Bo Bo and his friend Mr. Trailer

Blakey Pooooo!

Doc

Me and my 1# baby Mick
Hmmm, what else...Oh I went and stayed the night with my bestie last month, to "take her senior pics".  More like act like retards in the grocery store with her and her boyfriend, get ready to leave the store and my "man"(as Kate calls Eddie) drives by and Kate smacks me in the arm and says(Very loudly I might add) "Look there's your man!".  Then ride to her house with her and Skyler(her BF) and blare AC/DC all the way up there.  Then light bon fire, dance, maybe drink a itty bitty bit of Crown(not enough to count, mind you) stay up all night and stalk people on facebook then wake up and go take her SR pictures.  My fav pic from that evening while we were at a parade:

Kate, Dixie and Me
That's been the highlight of my fall.  Ain't had much more excitement.  Oh except for the Buffalo Workin, but that'll be another post after I get done with this one.
Feels like this year's just flying by, seems like just a couple weeks ago it was Spring, but here we're comin up on Christmas soon and a new year.  I'll be 17 in about 5 months, can't believe I actually lived this long.  Haha.
Can't wait for next summer, maybe I'll get to go help ship cattle out.  And maybe get to see Logan(aka a person that I probably shouldn't like but I kinda sorta do.)
Anyways, I'm rambling.  I guess I'll wrap this post up then go start another one on the buffalo workin!  I'll try to get on here and post more, I promise!

Hugs & kisses,
Josie
